As the Supervisor of the the royal workshops, he was able to obtain the services of the best sculptors of his time to sculpt a full-sized statue, which he then shut up forever in the funerary chapel of his tomb in Saqqara. Brunton used the statue as the inspiration for this portrait. The statue of the High Priest Ranefer - Polychromed limestone - is in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. |
