Giza
Pyramids at Dawn
The Giza Pyramids once stood
in isolation at the edge of the desert. The yearly inundation
reached nearly to the Sphinx, and a canal connected the valley temples
to the Nile. Now the cities of Nazlet and Giza have built up to
the edge of the plateau. But their mystical quality still entraces
the viewer whether it by from camel in the desert or from the window of
your high rise hotel.
