Manyal Palace

Guide welcomes us to Manyal Palace.  A former residence of one of the members of the royal family which ruled prior to the establishment of the Republic of Egypt. The interior is lavish in Arabic style.

It was built around 1929. In 1955 Prince Muhammad Ali, cousin to King Faruq, left the complex to the Egyptian nation. King Faruq's game shooting trophies are housed there.
